I like to work in the in-between of impulse and intention. My paintings are like journal entries, each a record of where I was and what pressed into me then. Daily thoughts, colors, shapes, conversations, events, and relationships contribute to swirling mental states that can really only be worked through on canvas.

Painting is the way that I process that which I cannot articulate, and often don't wish to with language alone. In doing so, I understand the world inside of and around me more authentically. Each of my paintings is a captured moment of my own life's development.
